Doodlie Do

About

Inspired by Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle, Doodlie Do features the Carribean tinkle of the thumb piano. The lyrics, taken directly from the masterpiece, express an acceptance of the existensial nature of being human. The mood of the song goes from child-like playfulness accented by the Gopichand, to a heavier minor melancholly, and back again. Thank you for your works of brilliance, Kurt Vonnegut.

Lyrics

We do doodlie do doodlie do doodlie do
What we must muddily must
muddily must muddily must
Muddily do muddily do
muddily do muddily do
'Til we bust bodily bust bodily bust bodily bust

Tiger got to hunt
Bird got to fly
Man got to sit and wonder why why why

Tiger got to sleep
Bird got to land
Man got to tell himself he understand

Why

We do doodlie do doodlie do doodlie do
What we must muddily must
muddily must muddily must
Muddily do muddily do
muddily do muddily do
'Til we bust bodily bust bodily bust bodily bust
